Foundation stone of the University of Govind Ballabh Pant Agricluture & Technology was laid by the first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on November 17, 1960. Being the first Agricultural University of the country established on the Land Grant Pattern of U.S.A., it has always occupied an eminent place among the State Agricultural Universities ( SAUs ) of India for the last five decades.
