Every year Indian Army recruit thousands of men and women. The recruitment have several grades like officer, army man etc. In almost every recruitment there are about three steps to clear an examination i.e. Written test, medical test and Personal Interview. There are two line of work category, first is, Fighting Forces and Second is; Support Service. 

Commissioned officers are also recruited by Indian Army, which are recruited through UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), recruitment through this is permanent commission. There are also some recruiting schemes like Women Entry Scheme, NCC Special entry scheme and also Short Service Commission Scheme. CDS (Combined Defense Service) is a examination for permanent Commission. CDS is held twice a year i.e. CDS I and CDS II. After passing CDS Examination candidate can join India army as officer level. 




The training of successful candidates is conducted in IMA (Indian Military Academy) The selection of candidates is based on educational qualification, after screening on the basis of education qualification, written test is held. Candidates who passed a written test have to go through SSB (Service Selection Board). Now at last on the basis of written test and SSB Merit list is made.
